In 2008 George Lombardo was working for someone else and knew he could improve the Customer Experience between client and contractor. George spent hundreds of hours researching how his employer could improve efficiencies like customer service, craftsmanship, getting projects done on time, and even get lower pricing for customers. When George learned that all of his ideas and suggestions had fallen on deaf ears, he began to plan his exit strategy to start his own Roofing and Contracting business, and do it right.
In 2010 Gold Standard Commercial Roofing was born. George knew he could do roofing and contracting projects better, at a better price, with much higher quality workmanship, get projects done on time, and be completely customer centric. He did just that!
In 2014 Crystal Lake Illinois experienced a huge storm that sent a ton of business to GSR, mostly from referrals “by doing it right.” Gold Standard Commercial Roofing had built such a great reputation as a Commercial Roofer and General Contractor by being ethical, trustworthy, providing beautifully finished projects on time, and providing exceptional service to customers that the referrals kept pouring in!
